Need some convincing? Check out these reviews of Super Motherload:
4.5/5 Game Revolution: http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/super-motherload
"an awesome blend of obsessive compulsive profiteering and addictive, satisfying gameplay."
8/10 Destructoid: http://www.destructoid.com/review-super-motherload-266114.phtml
"Super Motherload is simple enough so that anyone can pick it up and play, but complex enough for mining veterans to keep coming back to fully upgrade characters or even risk playing in hardcore mode. The sci-fi ’80s vibe is delightful and the perfect setting for this ridiculously addicting game. I find myself coming back to it at the end of every day, ready for a new adventure underground."
“Super Motherload gives the same great gameplay of the original, but looks and sounds fantastic.”
We are now out on both the PS3™ and PS4™ in North America for $14.99! Super Motherload is participating in the Cross-Buy program, so If you purchase Super Motherload for PS3™ you’re entitled to the PS4™ version if you ever choose to upgrade your console.
These next two weeks are going to be busy with the launch of Super Motherload on the PS4™ in Europe on Friday (November 29th) and the PS3™ in Europe on December 4th. So, in celebration, we are inviting Super Motherload fans to create their own underground puzzles and features and enter them into our Super Motherload puzzle contest. It’s a chance for you to demonstrate your puzzle creation skills to the world by showing your creative take on the explosive-based puzzles in Super Motherload.
We will award prizes for the best puzzles created by the community, and winning puzzles will also appear in a future update to the game. We can’t wait to see what the community comes up with and we anticipate this will add an incredible variety of puzzle styles and unique techniques we may not have thought of if left to our own devices.

Thanks for your support and dedication over the years; the first XGen game was released on NewGrounds back in 2003, and Motherload first debuted on NewGrounds a year layer. We credit the support of our loyal fans entirely to our ability to bring a game we're proud of to the PS4 alongside it's launch this evening.
Happy digging; see you on Mars!
We are happy to announce European pricing! Super Motherload on the PlayStation®4 will be available on November 29th in Europe for €13.99 and we are participating in the Cross-Buy program, so one purchase of either the PS3™ or PS4™ version will entitle you to both versions!
We are Just 10 days away from release in North America and we couldn’t be more excited. This has felt like the longest month of my life anticipating the release day as we tie up all of the loose ends in the marketing and submission process. We can’t wait for everyone to play Super Motherload on their brand new consoles. Don’t forget to pick up a few extra DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controllers for some day 1 couch co-op adventuring.
Super Motherload will be released in just under a month alongside the Launch of the PS4 on November 15th and we thought it would be the perfect time to release a brand new trailer that better represents the game in it’s finished state. A lot has changed since the original trailer that we released back in October of 2012. This trailer highlights 4 player local co-op gameplay as well as a few things we’ve talked about but haven’t yet shown in any footage (hardcore mode perma-death at 0:25, cutscenes, and dialogue choices). We are also very exited to announce that Super Motherload is making its way into stores along with the PS4 demo kiosk! This is your chance to check out the demo of Super Motherload before the release on November 15th! If you spot a kiosk in the wild somewhere be sure to let us know in the comments or tweet us @XGenStudios
Check out the PlayStation Blog to find the demo kiosk nearest to you: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/10/16/play-ps4-at-select-retailers-starting-today/
Looks like it’s official! Sony has added Super Motherload to their PS4 Preview list in the PlayStation Store with a DAY 1 release date! We feel incredibly lucky to hold a spot between Watch Dogs and Warframe in the preview carousel; two very highly anticipated games here in the XGen office. It feels a bit surreal to see something we’ve been working on tirelessly in our offices out in the wild like this—it’s just so cool! We can’t wait until November 15th when you can get your hands on a digital copy of Super Motherload on the PlayStation Store!
Check it out on the Sony Entertainment Network site as well: http://tinyurl.com/nxt67qd
Steam just let us know that they've Greenlit Super Motherload! We are just really really happy. Pumped, even. Many high fives have been thrown around the office today, and we even broke out the special occasion frosty mugs from the freezer.

Thank you all so much for your votes! We have been so impressed with all of the help that we've gotten, it was amazing to see people take this into their own hands and promote the heck out of Super Motherload. It was grassroots marketing at its finest and we couldn't have asked for more dedicated and enthusiastic fans. We have jobs because of people like you, so once again: thank you!
So? Where do we go from here? Well, we are sticking to the current game plan. We're working on the PS4 version at the moment-getting that all ready to submit, and then finish up the rest of the PS3 version. After the console versions are good to go we'll move our focus to Steam.
In the meantime we're looking on a way to clone Steve. Does anyone have any leads on that?

From XGen's press release (http://supermotherload.com/faq-contact/SuperMot herloadPS4PressRelease.pdf)
XGen Studios Announces "Super Motherload" for PlayStation®4 Computer Entertainment System
XGen Studios announced today that they will bring their upcoming title Super Motherload to the PS4TM system in addition to the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. According to the announcement, PS4TM system owners will get an enhanced version of the game later this year.
"We're excited about the PS4TM system and what this next generation console can offer to Super Motherload players" said CEO & Founder Skye Boyes. "In addition to the ample feature set and gameplay planned for the PS3TM, we're leveraging some very interesting new capabilities of the PS4TM."
Of his experience with Sony Computer Entertainment Inc, Boyes adds "it's been overwhelmingly positive; it's clear from the interaction we've had with them that they intend to support smaller developers such as ourselves."
Super Motherload has caught the attention of the gaming press, who have praised its addictive game play. In his preview of the game, Tim Turi of Game Informer explains that "the tight feedback loop makes it hard to put down". Speaking to the puzzle elements, Rock Paper Shotgun writes "the rewards are dopamine-inducing".
Super Motherload is slated for release on both the PS4TM system and PS3TM system later this year, with additional platforms to follow.
